Over 100 years of tradition –
From Meyer to Roess
Since the founding of a small locksmith’s shop and repair workshop by Arnold Heinrich Meyer in 1913, the company has grown over more than 100 years into a financially strong mid-sized enterprise.
Through continuous innovation, it has succeeded in transforming the tradition – deeply rooted for centuries in the Twistringen region – of processing sustainable raw materials such as straw, coconut and jute into modern production processes.

28. Juni 1913: Arnold Heinrich Meyer, master mechanical engineer, founds a metalworking and repair workshop with engine-powered equipment at Westerstraße 6 in Twistringen.

1948
1948 – Company founder Arnold Heinrich Meyer passes away. His wife, Elisabeth Meyer, takes over A.H. Meyer Maschinenfabrik and continues to run the company together with their daughter Hedwig.
