Steep incline and articulated conveyors
When steep conveying angles are required, our steep incline and articulated conveyors come into play. Whether in Z or L configuration, we design and manufacture your system individually to meet on-site requirements. Cleats, profiles or corrugated sidewalls ensure safe and reliable material transport even at high incline angles and under demanding operating conditions.
The design is usually based on troughed belt conveyors with flat-arranged carrying rollers, optionally also with a slider bed. If required, a brake motor or backstop prevents the belt from running back when the drive is switched off.
Conveying speed, width, length and incline angle are precisely tailored to your application. Depending on the operating conditions, the conveyor belts can be heat-, grease- or oil-resistant and are available with antistatic properties on request. Belt surface, cleat shape, height and spacing can also be selected flexibly. Various drive options, such as drum motors or shaft-mounted geared motors, are available.
Sidewall belt conveyors feature an increased conveying cross-section thanks to their continuous corrugated sidewalls and therefore offer a significantly higher conveying capacity compared to troughed belt conveyors. Cleats prevent the conveyed material from sliding back.
Our sidewall belt conveyors are manufactured from a robust folded steel sheet construction with reinforcing profiles. The surface is either galvanized or painted. Custom color designs are available, as are stainless steel versions.
The bolted construction is particularly assembly-friendly, and a system hole pattern allows for the attachment of accessories and supports. The return belt cover is designed in individual segments for easy installation and removal.

Z-type conveyors feature a typically horizontal frame section both below and above the inclined conveying section.
L-type conveyors are articulated conveyors consisting of a typically horizontal frame section and an inclined frame section.
In terms of design and construction, L- and Z-type conveyors essentially correspond to sidewall belt conveyors.
